Predictive Health Intelligence is a medical technology company with a mission to end the late diagnosis of liver disease. They have developed a case-finding search engine to help clinicians identify people who might be at risk of developing chronic liver disease using existing, historical data.
Predictive Health Intelligence was preparing to present groundbreaking liver disease research as a late-breaking abstract at a major international conference.
The findings had significant implications for clinicians, researchers, industry, healthcare systems and patients. However, the research was complex, data-heavy and difficult to communicate without losing either its scientific rigour or its wider relevance.
As a late-breaking abstract, the team had only one month to prepare the full communications campaign. Delivering quickly was essential, but speed alone was not enough. The real challenge was to identify the story within the data and communicate it in a way that would resonate with multiple audiences.
Evolene worked closely with the scientific and clinical teams to translate the research into a clear, consistent and accessible narrative.
We developed a messaging framework that retained the strength of the underlying science while explaining why the findings mattered for earlier diagnosis, patient outcomes and the future management of liver disease.
This narrative was translated into an integrated suite of scientific and external communications assets, including:
Each asset was tailored to its audience while maintaining a consistent central message, allowing the research to reach beyond the conference poster and engage stakeholders across the wider liver disease community.

The campaign turned a complex scientific result into a platform for meaningful stakeholder engagement.
It generated new conversations and strengthened relationships across clinical, research, industry and patient communities. Clinicians expressed an interest in collaborating, researchers identified opportunities to build on the findings, and industry stakeholders recognised the potential applications of the approach. The video has subsequently had over 600 views.
Patient audiences also responded strongly, demonstrating that technically complex research can create genuine excitement when its relevance is communicated clearly.
Rather than delivering a short-lived conference campaign, Evolene created a reusable set of communications assets and a compelling scientific narrative that continues to support engagement, collaboration and commercial development.
