New Market Launch Event

Following the expansion of hepatoSIGHT® across the South West of England, Evolene developed and delivered an in-person launch programme designed to bring stakeholders together, build momentum and turn a major regional contract into real-world adoption.

The challenge

Securing a new market is only the beginning, introducing new technology across the NHS means engaging busy teams working across different organisations, specialties and geographies, often with limited opportunities to come together.

Having helped secure the expansion of hepatoSIGHT® across the South West, the next challenge was to ensure the technology translated into clinical use.

We needed to create awareness and excitement around the programme, establish a shared sense of purpose and give the people responsible for implementation the knowledge and confidence to take action.

Our approach

Rather than relying solely on digital communications, Evolene recommended bringing the region together in person.

Hosted by the local Health Innovation Network in Exeter, we planned and delivered a dedicated hepatoSIGHT® launch event attended by around 50 clinicians, NHS stakeholders and implementation partners from across the South West.

We developed an agenda that combined the strategic case for earlier liver disease detection with the practical information teams needed to implement the technology successfully.

The programme included:

- Clinical perspectives on the opportunity for earlier detection and intervention
- A guest speaker bringing external expertise and inspiration
- Clinical data governance and implementation guidance
- The patient perspective
- Practical workshops focused on translating hepatoSIGHT® into local pathways and workflows

The impact

At the time of the launch, hepatoSIGHT® covered a population of around 500,000 people.

Today, its footprint across the South West exceeds 3 million people, more than six times the population covered at launch, with clinicians using the technology across the peninsula, from Cornwall to Bristol, to identify people at risk of chronic liver disease and create opportunities for earlier intervention.

The launch helped establish the relationships, understanding and momentum needed to move hepatoSIGHT® from a regional programme on paper into technology being used across multiple NHS organisations.
